In life we face many struggles, it could be school struggles, relationship struggles, work struggles, or more specifically technology struggles. In my experience, technology hasn’t been my “friend” or I have not tried to broaden my skills in technology. I haven’t had many problems mainly because I don’t do many hard technological assignments or work on my computer. Nevertheless, I managed to buy an HP computer that’s touch screen, reversible and has 12 RAM. However, my recent technological conflict was when I was struggling with a simple technological problem.
During the summer of 2018, I registered for summer classes so I can advance credits in my career. The class I was taking was History, where the teacher assigned us essays to write about a certain topic. One afternoon I was working on an essay, everything was going well with my computer until I had a sudden problem.
All of the sudden my computer supposedly when to tablet mode. I was so confused as to what had happened and why I couldn’t reach my assignment. The laptop’s screen just stayed on the home screen and clicking the mouse wouldn’t work. I tried for so may time to check the problem and look for a solution. I had to finish my assignment. I called my boyfriend, who is a computer science major, to help me because I was desperate to finish my assignment. He looked at the screen, touched the screen for some settings and fixed it to “tablet mode off”. He said it was in tablet mode and I just had to push one button in the screen.
In conclusion, I learned I’m not so good with technology. I am recently taking Computing 101 where I hope I can learn to broaden my skills in technology.
